Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using EnvWallet ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

EnvWallet provides a secure platform for storing, managing, and sharing environment variables and secrets. Our services include:

  • Encrypted storage of environment variables
  • Team collaboration and access management
  • Export functionality for CI/CD integration
  • API access for programmatic management
  • Version history and audit logs

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using this Service, you represent and warrant that you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
  • Are not a person barred from using the Service under applicable law
  • Will use the Service only for lawful purposes

4. User Accounts

Account Creation

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of EnvWallet and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the data you store in the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, backup, and process your data as necessary to provide the Service.

7. Payment Terms

Subscription Fees

Certain features of the Service may require payment of fees. You agree to pay all applicable fees as described on our pricing page.

Billing

  • Fees are billed in advance on a subscription basis
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • We may change fees with 30 days notice

8. Data Security and Privacy

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Our data handling practices are described in our Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that:

  • No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials
  • We encrypt data at rest and in transit

9. Service Level Agreement

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service. However:

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted access
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance
  • We are not liable for any downtime or data loss
  • Premium plans may include specific uptime commitments

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ENVWALLET SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of profits, data, or use
  • Business interruption
  • Security breaches
  • Third-party actions

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EnvWallet and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Your Content

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding the Service.
